Finally! It's a baby Boy for Summer!

It’s a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for new mom, Summer!!!

And didn’t we know it? He sure made us wait to meet him - and I had joked that only a boy would hold out that long! I have much more to share, but right now, I am just attending to all all the little details that become important right after foaling. The placenta is all there, which is critically important to Summer’s health, and the little guy is nursing well. He has a bit of a windswept look to his back legs ... and a possible hernia.

But overall, he seems healthy and .... the first thing he did when he saw me just after 6 am was run up to greet me with his mom! He even touched me with his little nose! Welcome, beautiful boy! Good job, Summer!!!!
